My name is Lily Effah. I am the Assistant Manager At Reflo Company Limited.
I come from Kintampo in the Bono East region of Ghana. I am a passionate advocate for Women’s empowerment and a trailblazer. Born as the second of four siblings, I grew up in a traditional royal where my dad was a beacon of hope, as he was very liberated and never discriminative based on gender. However, in my community, most women did not have the opportunity to get to the pinnacle of their lives due to gender stereotypes and prejudice about how a woman should be. This sparked a deep interest in me to challenge and change gender stereotypes in society. I believe that one side of a story is incomplete, and that true progress can only be achieved when all voices are heard. With an unwavering determination to make a difference, I pursued a master’s degree in Gender Studies to gain a better understanding of how women can be empowered. My studies further fueled my passion for advocating for gender equity and working hard to become a respected voice in the field.
As a changemaker and thought leader, I have dedicated my life to breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for teenage girls in my community, especially in the area of education. I believe that education is the key to success, and I am a living testimony of this, as I have been able to achieve so much because of education. Even though I haven’t yet reached the pinnacle of success I hope to achieve in life, I know that with every image I capture, is one step closer to realising my dream and achieving the success I so richly deserve. Today, I continue to inspire and empower women through my work as an educator, mentor, and advocate.

During my master’s studies, a friend shared Reflo Company Limited’s email address with me for a job vacancy, but I was initially reluctant to apply for the job because I wanted to focus fully on my education. However, my friend encouraged me to apply, believing that I could balance work and studies. I decided to give it a try and landed the job, which was a perfect complement to my studies because the company’s vision aligned with my aspirations.
My decision to join the company was a turning point in my life. It helped me discover my capabilities and inspired me to stay focused on educating myself. My dedication earned me the nickname REFLO’S SCHOLAR G from my boss, a testament to my commitment to learning and growing.
Working at Reflo Company Limited has been a fulfilling experience for me. I feel that the workplace is like a home to everyone, providing an environment for young people, especially women, to develop themselves and become better. I am passionate about being part of something new and seeing it grow into something big. I am thrilled about the growth of Reflo Company Limited and grateful for the positive impact it has had on my life.
My passion for the job is evident in my work. I believe that doing what you like is the key to being energised and motivated to work all the time. My dedication to my job and studies has made me a role model for young women everywhere, inspiring them to pursue their passions and achieve their dreams.
